LA Banks needs an editor. The Vampire Huntress series started off promising but after three books, I had to stop reading. The story lines are convoluted and the latter books lack a strong plot.

We are black women and we still think the book is a steaming pile of crap. Because it is a hot mess. It's not about adult scenes in her writing, it's about the lack of good writing. Plots that make sense, character development, and pesky things like proper spelling and grammar are not too much to ask from a published author.

I dont mean to come off racist but, you white people and mexican and mainly un-black people always talk about the bad in the "black" books but never the good and the normal about the book. If you have to criticize the book so much AND black authors why the fuck do you bother buying it. If you read the first book, which is a really good book, alot of the people she brings in is explained. The first book has many sex scenes, yeah, but the book is good. And nothing is wrong with the sex scenes. They all link together, and show how the people are connected, and what there relationship is like. If you dont like the book then fuck you. The book was made by a BLACK AUTHOR for BLACK PEOPLE who actually knows about this stuff.AND FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE, OR JUST FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT. It was a great book an its very detailed.Apparently it wasnt bad like you're trying to say, because YOu took the time to come onto the website and right a blog. Different PEOPLE have DIFFERENT TASTE, and some people, like me, might like the book. The sex is not the only part of the book. And no one has small dicks because the one's with small dicks arent bold enough to step forward and do that(as in what the ones with the big dicks did). And no smart asses, not all black author books have sex scenes. I have read PLENTY without them. And PLENY of WHITE AUTHORS have SEX SCENES in there books. So if you dont like the books, then pick up a book from the teen or kids section. Because obviously you are not mature enough to get the point of the book and notice that its more to it then the sex scenes. So obvously it grabbed your attention. The book is meant to confuse the simple minded who cant see good writing and look past the sex.So if you got confused you shouldve put the book down because its not for you. And if u can judge black authors writing by the cover so can u judge white, mexican, pueto rican etc. Because plenty of covers are misleading. The book is not a waste of time. I believe its a matter of opinion. My old friend introduced me to Payback is A Mutha the first book and i read Payback With Ya Life on my own the sequel to Payback is A Mutha and both were good books and i would read it again. MY OPINION IS TO READ THE BOOK BECAUSE THIS ONE AND THE FIRST ARE GOOD BOOKS!
